We are an alternative accommodation to Hamilton city motels for adventurous adults looking for a new experience!
The Classic Break option is available to all solo men or women or couples either experienced in naturism, or wishing to 'dive in' and 'give it a go'!
Whether on business, holiday, or just curious, only at The Rural Naturist B&B Retreat can you have a clothing free spa and indoor infrared sauna, all over tan top-up in summer, log fire relaxation in winter and an optional naked massage all year round. And all in one private rural location with a recently built self-contained cottage for a great night's sleep and a generous Kiwi continental breakfast to start your day.
There's plenty of time to relax with a 2.00pm check in. Even if arriving after work there is time for a drink with your hosts and a 1 hour relaxing massage (if you wish). Alternatively you can have your optional massage on the morning of departure starting between 8 and 9.00am.
During your Classic Break stay, like many traditional B&Bs we will be around and busying ourselves in the garden or inside. As creatures of habit, we will be at the bar, or in the spa for a couple of hours from 5.00pm (ish) to set aside time to socialise. The rest of the time is yours to solo unwind, but you are always welcome to come find us for a cup of tea and a chat.
ACCOMMODATION
Making sure your stay is comfortable as well as fun
The self-contained one-bedroom character cottage features macrocarpa ceiling beams and a covered deck which gets the morning sun.
Set on the green, the cottage is north-east facing and just a quick hop to the main homestead, spas and bar a few metres away.
The cottage has its own full kitchen and bathroom with loo & shower. The space is self-contained with private access and ample off-street parking.
The bedroom has a Queen bed, a clothing rack, hairdryer and a free-to-view television. Linen, bath/spa towels and cotton robes are provided.
The kitchen has a full oven, a two plated hob, microwave, under bench fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, kitchenware - all the kitchen tools you’ll need during your stay, along with tea, coffee and pantry essentials.
The bathroom has a shower and soap, shampoo & conditioner are provided. In winter, oil heaters keep the cottage toasty and warm. In summer, pedestal fans are provided.
For those wishing to enjoy the fresh air, you can relax at the outdoor table and chairs on the deck, plus there is exclusive use of an adjoining shaded courtyard. About 2,500 sqm of our garden is private.
You are welcome in the main homestead too. There are full laundry facilities (washing, drying, ironing) and in cooler months there's a wood fire to relax in front of with a book, or us.
Free WiFi is available in the main house, on the spa decks, at the bar and outside on the cottage deck.
FACILITIES AVAILABLE TO OVERNIGHT GUESTS
Within the homestead and around the property:
- A formal lounge/library with a log-fire in winter.
- Spa pools and outdoor lounge suite are situated on a large covered north-facing entertaining deck make for a perfect setting to watch the sunset after a busy day.
- Chimenea for fire-side entertainment.
- Indoor infrared 1-2 person sauna in the cottage.
- Lawn croquet for naked fun!
- We are smoking & vaping friendly. Smokers are vapers are welcome outside in covered and uncovered spaces, ie at the bar, or in front of the cottage under the roof awning. Please be sure not to allow smoke to drift back into the cottage if doors and windows are open. No smoking in the spa to protect the spa from accidental burns, vaping is fine in the spas. Strictly no smoking indoors.
NATURIST EXPERIENCE
Solo / 1 Guest for 2 hours - focused time with your hosts (if you wish) $250

This is the perfect option for guests who don't have the time for an overnight stay but who are looking for a unique and more intimate naturist experience with guaranteed socialising - with us.
We set aside 2 focused naturist hours just for you, if you wish. You'll have our undivided attention and hopefully become comfortable with being naked socially.
It's an opportunity to learn about naturism, and possibly something about yourself, in a welcoming space with us. Whether a bucket-list item, or a gentle easing into nudism, The Naturist Experience is ideal as it is just you, us, and no other guests.
You can share a spa with us, sunbathe with us (on warmer days) or sit around a log fire in winter and enjoy great conversations clothing-free. During your 2 hours you will also have time for an optional complimentary naked massage with Julie to fully relax and recharge you. This can be indoors, or outdoors during warmer weather under our UV protected deck.
Unlimited tea, coffee, water, a homemade muffin and sweet or savoury snacks, and use of the spas and sauna. Full access to the cottage bathroom for showers and the loo.

SUNDAY SUN DAY SOCIAL
Every Sunday* 3 hrs 1pm-4pm from 1 November 2026 to 25 April 2027
Social naturism for singles and couples, $100 per single, $120 per couple
A chance to meet others with a shared interest in adult naturism and maybe make new friends. Your hosts will be present throughout.
Towel, tea/coffee/water and snacks provided along with access to shower and toilet facilities. Chat over a coffee at the bars or in the spa with like-minded people, soak up the afternoon sun or enjoy relaxing in our private garden.
The garden has a large green, a shade area, an outdoor double sun-bed, sunloungers, blow-up mattresses, picnic blankets and a large UV protected area with spas, a sofa and bars to enjoy.
This is an alternative space for broadminded adults only. We are creating a safe environment where guests must respect each other. Numbers will be strictly limited to a small gathering.
This is not a party, so no loud music. It's a relaxed social get-together and you must be an experienced or confident naturist around others.
Unless the weather is cold guests are expected to be naked.
All visitors must present photo identification upon arrival for their first visit.** Initial inquiries through our booking form. You must book by 6pm the day before. Strictly no walk-ins. Limited numbers.
Gatherings are for SINGLES and COUPLES together. Based on feedback we may have special gatherings over time. When inquiring, please don't ask about who else may have booked as we operate a strictly private space. Whether you are the only guest or there's a small group, it will be fun! After all, we your hosts, will be here regardless and will ensure you're well looked after.

*We reserve the right to skip a Sunday for any reason, for example if we have accommodation guests.
